When Oppa first came to Parker's Animal Rescue, we never imagined his journey would take this turn.
Recently, Oppa was diagnosed with Megaesophagus, a condition that affects the movement of food from the mouth to the stomach and requires specialized daily care. While the diagnosis has changed what Oppa's future looks like, it hasn't changed who he is: a sweet, lovable dog who deserves every chance to live a happy, comfortable life.
The good news? With proper management and care, many dogs with Megaesophagus can thrive, and their symptoms can be greatly reduced or even eliminated. Oppa is already doing well, and we're optimistic about what lies ahead for him. While he won't be available for adoption, he has something just as important: a loving foster home committed to giving him the best life possible.
PAR has committed to helping support Oppa's medical needs, and we're asking our community to help us do just that.
Through "Friends of Oppa," our goal is simple: 300 people giving $10 each.
That's it.
No huge donation required. Just a community of animal lovers coming together to help one very special dog.
Your gift will help offset the costs associated with Oppa's ongoing care, including veterinary visits, medications, specialized feeding supplies, and other needs that help keep him healthy and comfortable.
For the cost of a coffee or a quick lunch, you can make a meaningful difference in Oppa's life.
Will you become a Friend of Oppa?
Together, 300 small acts of kindness can have an incredible impact.
